So it looks like a flexible 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation with Camarasa sitting in as the deep midfielder.
My only concern really is Manga at rightback. He’s just not a right back, and his winger is going to have to put in the yards to help him out today.

    Surprised no Reid.

Surprised no Reid but overall happy with that.

Will Camarasa play deeper? I thought he was the kind of player who does his best work going forward.

How on earth does Kenedy not get a red card there? Literally right in front of the ref.

What drama. Would have been a travesty if they had scored. Superb atmosphere and effort.

Great to have a midfield as well. Now we need some goals

    Much better.

Needs to be a lot better again next time out.

Great to see Arter and Camarasa on the pitch. We have a midfield!

    Up to 14th and flying!

I would have cried if they scored that. How much better was our midfield this week! Thank God Arter wasn't sent off, he has to play every week. Camarasa excites me. Just don't see where the goals are gonna come from though. Murphy was amazing. Etheridge is my dad. Bring on Huddersfield, another game where we have to get something from it.

    NML too predictable
Victor not starting 11 material when Gunnar fit.
    Zohore, what’s happened to him?
    Good fight, crap game.
    Newcastle are just as crap.

Obviously an improvement. Newcastle with a lot more savvy when down to 10. Hoping our forwards can acclimatise quickly and that wasn't their level (only Murphy looks PL ready). Glad Kenedy's fortune was used up by the end.

You sound as shocked as me about that comment. I thought he was quality.
Unfortunately Ken never looked a threat. With an in form striker we could have won that.

Victor and Arter were outstanding. Sol too.

Played our best football for a long time. Looked a better side for having left footer Murphy on left wing and right footer Hoilet in the right .

Thought Zohore tired badly and stopped making runs in behind.

    Pardon?

    ‘Victor not starting 11 material’??!!

I thought that he looked very comfortable and along with Arter made a huge difference.

I was surprised when we was subbed (not yet quite match fit maybe?) as I was when Murphy came off.

Hahaha ... I thought Camarasa had a good game. He kept possession well and didn't over complicate things. He's a welcome addition.

If I was to be critical, it would be about Manga - many said his game would be more suited to the Premier League, more time on the ball and so on. However, he's just not a quick enough thinker, he takes too long to decide what his best option is when he's got the ball at feet, this invariably invites pressure on himself and he'll generally just hit an aimless up-field ball.

Secondly, I think the coaching staff still have a lot of work to do with NML, he just doesn't know how to keep possession or when the right time to release the ball is.

Over all, an improvement on the Bournemouth game, especially the midfield.
