James Collins not part of West Ham's plans

Would he be worth having here if wages were low as an emergency centre back? He's got experience to bring to the dressing room as well.

He's one of our own and hugely experienced, so he could definitely help us out. Unfortunately we can't sign anybody else until January.

They have already released him, so he's a free agent.

Today's rumours are that they want to re-sign him, so the title of the thread may not be the most accurate.

Can sign out of contract players until August 31. They can play Premier League as long you boot someone out of the 25 man squad, though can’t imagine that’d go well with the booted player.

We could loan the "26th man" out, although if we wanted Collins I'd imagine we'd have made an offer in the summer as he's been a free agent since June 30th.
