I managed to get my current role after 2 years as a private contractor with them, an opportunity came up, I interviewed for it and was successful. Not sure I'd have got it if I'd applied cold.

Most organizations want a degree
The job doesn’t necessarily need one but if a degree is down as an essential criteria then if you don’t have one you get sifted regardless of experience
