Thread: Good luck tonight Wales ladies!

    Good luck tonight Wales ladies!

Can't see past a defeat though I'm afraid. Mind you, even if that happens, it's still been arguably Wales' best World Cup qualifying campaign in more than half a century.

Big ask, Ingerlund are good .

I shamefully note from Wiki the following details :
The Wales women's national football team have yet to qualify for the final stages of the World Cup or European Championships and are currently ranked 35th in the world, and 20th in Europe.

Add them to yer blog Paul, bit of diversity, lol.

England pretty much need draw looking at the table and can back themselves to win their last game in hand on Wales.

I saw some of the last Wales match actually, few skilled players and a very solid defence. Fancy a draw, a win is a big ask but stranger things happen all the time.

    Good luck to them.

Very small article in the EGGO about the Ladies.

Biggest game in their history and all they get is a derisory inch & half column

A disgrace expecting fit young women to settle for an inch and a half.

Good piece on them last night.
Got to agree with OP that this will be a game too far tho.
Lack of the use of goal line technology may well have scuppered their chances.

Was quick enough to get tickets as soon as they were available. Can't really see past and England win unfortunately but you never know.

Men against girls now. England stepped up the pace and the far slicker passing is penning in Wales so much so that when they do get it they can only pass it back.

England are comfortably the better side. The Welsh girls have done their best but are limited. It’s a shame but no surprise.

It's no disgrace for Wales to lose, they've done really well in this group and, if England do end up winning it, let's hope we qualify for a Play Off spot.

Sounds unlikely from the commentary Bob.
Great effort against a much higher ranked team.

Gutted for them, a magnificent effort this campaign to get even close to where they did.

A brave effort. Ludlow has them really well organised but England had the better players and it showed. They should be proud that they pushed England so hard. Ultimately they were not good enough.

Played a really good system, very similar to Chris Coleman's 3-4-3. The first half was brilliant but that first England goal killed it really, the second and third looked inevitable after that.

The women's game needs a lot more money pumped in to it if Wales are to qualify in future. What an effort this campaign anyway, credit to all of them. Ludlow looks a great manager.

unlucky wales sounded like we gave a good account of ourselves judging by posts on here . as mentioned I,m out in Poland watching the Cardiff uni futsal team compete in the champions league representing Wales . our lads came so close last night to winning against varna city . leading 3-2 with only 30 seconds on the clock and they grabbed a late equalizer to make it 3-3 in the end . so close for a welsh futsal side to record a first ever win in a European competition after 7 years of trying ! playing Luxembourg champions tomorrow night . great atmosphere over here with over 1,000 people attending games
