Definitely things to improve on defensively here

It is difficult, yes? People keep talking about Hazard. But the movement of Pedro, Hazard and Giroud together made it hard for our boys. Sometimes they were three players covering one man, leaving space for the others. They switched sides and run circles arround us. Hope they spend some time in the video room this week, becaus it’s going to be the same next match.

    Thanks for that

Although well worked, Chelsea poor defensively for our goal.
That's not going to happen again many times this season and pity a goal like that counted for little apart from boosting confidence.

In fairness you could have picked on half a dozen Chelsea moves which exposed us as a unit. It's termed difference in class.

They put together some nice moves, the one for the Kovacic chance which etheridge saved was very well created.

It's hard, you sit off and allow too much space for them to dictate play, you get too tight and one flick takes you out of the game.

A lot of it as a defender is speed of thought, seeing where the danger is and making the right decision. We will improve as a unit and although on the whole the league is a step up, not everyone is as good as Chelsea and Man City.

There will be teams that aren't as effective at opening us up.
