Wales football throwback - Wales v Germany (tonight at 7:45)

FAW are showing Wales Germany (Earnie's debut) tonight from 7:45, on their social media pages, and next Thursday it's Wales v Italy.

Check it out and see a number of future Wales managers run about.

I’ve no idea what happened on Earnie’s debut. The only wales v Germany game that I can remember was the 1-0 Ian rush game. If any game is going to be show again, surely it is that one??

What a striker Earnie was, did well at PL level with a poor WBA side.
I remember that Germany game, we scored straight from the kick off for the 2nd half, Germany didn’t even touch the ball.

Earnie always had a bad day at the office in local derbies. (Particularly the Wurzels😡)

His first goal on his return to us was against the Wurzels
Didn’t do too badly against Derby for Forest, 5 goals in 6 games I believe.

Watched that in full tonight, great game. What a player 21-year-old Earnie looked against a Germany side that finished runners up in the World Cup six weeks later.

Quite a few champions League finalists in that Germany side too. However, I am very happy with The Welsh Way when you look back on how British we used to play!

Methinks the reason why 2002 instead of 1991 is to make people feel excited about the Millennium Stadium for the Spain game. I don't mind that tactic at all, I think re-releasing classic games is more good work by the FAW.
