Thread: Newcastle, Hudds and Brighton all losing

Newcastle, Hudds and Brighton all losing

Good news for us at the bottom, but we still need to do the business ourselves

Fulham only drawing away at Everton at half time. Let's hope Everton beat them, keeping them in the "clubs to easily catch" bracket.

Newport 3-2 up after being 2-0 down

Fulham, Southampton, Newcastle, Huddersfield, Brighton all losing.

What an opportunity for us tomorrow this is if results stay the same.

Really frustrating that there are 5/6 poor sides. With 1 or 2 purchases we would be comfortable in this league

These results are confirmed, all lost.

A win tomorrow would mean we go 17th at least on goal difference.

Win tomorrow and we're only 5 points away from Manchester United

I disagree. Look at how much Fulham have spent and they've conceeded 18! We would have to spend upwards of £100m to be safe and even then, who would want to join us?
We'll be in the mix for survival as long as we have big home crowds cheering them on.

It's well documented we were close to bagging a striker but for whatever reason it didn't happen. Someone like Deeney, who would not have cost a fortune, would have made a big difference already.

How do you know that? He is on £50k a week at Watford, we don't have a player near that kind of salary.

I imagine we are paying 75% plus a small loan fee up front.

Murphy and Reid are probably on 25-30k. Can’t imagine anyone comes close to 50.

We got super Ken as soon as he awakes from his lengthy slumber, let it be tomorrow.

But that £100m need not go on players. If we had a much better scouting system or youth development pathway we could improve our chances massively by spending an extra £20m only.
