can't see why you would want a pro.

Standard iPad (I have the 32gb 2017 version) does everything I want.

Email, social media, internet, sky sports, BT sport, iPlayer, maps, movies, podcasts, calendar, amazon, music, facetime, skype basically all the apps you'd ever need

If you get a wifi only version then obviously it'll only work when connected to wifi. You can get one with a sim card to allow internet access when out and about but that needs a contract or a pay as you go sim with a few gig of data on it.

I prefer a laptop for working on documents and spreadsheets but i can do them on the ipad if I had to.

Only worth getting an ipad if you have apple everything else, otherwise I'd be looking at an android one.

Go on Apple web page and check out refurbished stock. You’ll get a good bargai there and well worth the money. Go for one.

John Lewis are pretty good too, sometimes they up the guarantee to 3 years from 2. I took my old 16g one in on the last day of the 3 year warranty because the blue tooth wasn’t working, first they gave me a refurb, that didn’t work so good, when I took that back I got a new 32g next gen one instead.

Don't buy anything Apple, they are total rip off. Buy any Android, eg Samsung-half the price and just as good.

get the oldest that accepts the latest iOS, currently the iPad mini 4

New from about £310 and 2nd user ( refurbed ) from £200 ish

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-iPa....c100506.m3226

    £220 quid

I always recommend clients ( be them from my window cleaning or my IT stuff ) always buy to try, that £200 will resell if you do not get on with it for roughly the same money in 6 months time, you might get it, put it in the drawer and never use it

    Set up your Apple ID
Ensure back up and find my iPhone (iPad) are turned on in settings
Ignore most if not all of the apps on the first screen
Go to App Store and download all the apps you want

Just ask if you need help
