Why we are now doing really well. Proof we were never in trouble.

    BIG 6 Domination

The big 6 record against the other 14 after 9 rounds is as follows

    Played 37
    Won 31
    Drawn 3
Lost 3 (two of these Manure shockers)
    Goals for 93
    Against 27

So points nicked off them by the other 14 totals 12.

Latest other 14 positions with only games played against the other 13 reflected. (points and goal difference accurate).

IN THIS TABLE IT IS THE GAMES PLAYED THAT HAS MOST SIGNIFICANCE after accurate points.

    PL W D L Pts GD B6B
    8 5 2 1 17 4 0 Bournemouth
    6 4 1 1 16 1 3 Watford
    8 4 3 1 15 3 0 Everton
    7 4 1 2 15 1 2 Wolvesalona
    6 4 0 2 12 2 0 Leicester
    5 2 2 1 11 -3 3 Brighton
    7 2 2 3 8 -7 0 Burnley
    4 1 0 3 7 -6 4 Hammers
    8 2 1 5 7 -6 0 Palace
    7 1 3 3 6 -8 0 Southampton
    5 1 2 2 5-11 0 City
    6 1 2 3 5-14 0 Fulham
    5 0 3 2 3-14 0 Huddersfield
    4 0 2 2 2 -8 0 Geordie bastards

Palace are clearly doing badly as are Southampton
we have 2 and 3 non big 6 games in hand on those two.
Bournemouth and Everton are flying but they have mainly avoided the big 6 so far.

If with our team spirit and clear ability shown yesterday we can't finish above 4 or 5 of these 14 I will be amazed.

Next week we don't have a game again if you see what I mean as we are away to Liverpool.

No hopers according to the pundits are actually performing very well thank you.

We arrived YESTERDAY and it is clear to me we are doing better than many realise.

If we lose out by 2 points to a team that beat one of the big 6 can we complain to the premier League to have their 3 points deducted?

    No

You are missing the whole point of the thread or trying to be amusing.

Come on man, suspend your reality and play the game!

The best odds available today on us to stay up are 9/4.
Hmmm ...... even the bookies can see the truth.

Of course the only points we have got are against the three teams below us - but as long as they stay there that's fine!

Undoubtedly, our first ten fixtures are tougher than those that most of the teams outside of the top six big clubs will have had to face and so, to some degree, our situation is not as bad as it might look, but I think "we were never in trouble" is being ever so slightly over optimistic .

We took 2 points from Huddersfield, Newcastle and Burnley. Don't get too carried away just yet.

If we played Newcastle and Huddersfield now I think we’d beat them both. We just had to settle and get the right system. There are at least 3 teams worse than us imo

That burnley game we win 9 times out of 10 with that performance.
It is still going to be a very long season, but we have a chance.
However, we currently have 5 points from 9 gmes, which would get us 21 points over the course of a season. Or guaranteed relegation.

If that logic is followed Newcastle, Huddersfield and Fulham will also have 21 points or less and be guaranteed relegation!

Not really because using your calculation the league would end up:

    Cardiff 21
    Fulham 21
    Huddersfield 13
    Newcastle 8

I'm not saying that we are guaranteed relegation, all I am saying is that we will have to start picking up points a lot more than we currently are if we are to have a chance, as the other clubs at the bottom will start to at some point as well.

    Mr Half Empty says:

We could still go down on goal difference in that scenario.
