Just a question about the minutes silence

Will it be a minutes silence or as the norm nowadays a minutes clapping? I don't suppose anyone will know until that time arrives!

Anyone who purposely decides to make noise during it should be reported and kicked out of the ground.

It's keeping up appearances, innit? Not drawing attention to oneself for a minute is what's really important. That means observing whatever someone else, who's anonymous, deigns as appropriate will be observed. It's wholly fake and insincere but everyone plays along, whether it's silence or clapping.

The only time there's silence (99% of fans) is when it's near remembrance day.

The Leicester owner will have a round of applause around the country for the work he did with their club. Rightly so too, IMO. It was his investment and efforts that ultimately turned them from a mid-table Championship team to Premier League champions.

It should be a minute's silence. Clapping should only be done to celebrate the life of someone who has died in bed after a long and (hopefully) happy life. A minute's silence is appropriate for people who have had their lives cut short in tragic circumstances.

    Does it really matter?

Ray Wilkins had his life cut short and I thought the minutes applause with a chant of "Theres Only One Ray Wilkins" around many grounds was a fantastic tribute.

What matters is what those directly involved want.
