Cardiff players who did well for us but unpopular elsewhere

We seem to have hundreds and hundreds of players over the years (mainly strikers) who were popular with previous clubs, and again when they leave us, but just can’t do it for us.

So in reverse I was wondering about players we really liked but couldn’t do it elsewhere. Jay bothroyd perhaps first name that comes to mind?

I'd say he was able to get the best out of a certain type of player.
Experienced payers with talent, who thrive on being given the responsibility.
Players who needed a more hands on approach he probably did less well with.
