Had a spooky scam email (that went to junk)

Quoted my email address and my mother's name and said my email account had been hacked.

    Which was a bit previous....

Needless to say I deigned to open it.

They could have obtained the info from one of my websites. But who would bother to track down all that information?

    Like I say, 'spooky'.

I had one last week quoting an email password that I hadn't used for about 5 years. It said it had me on camera and if I didn't pay a couple of thousand pounds to them within a certain time frame, they'd email all my contacts with the video.

I checked outside the window and couldn't see any cameras pointing into my house so ignored it.

Aye. There was a thread on here a couple of weeks ago about this type of email
