La Liga could teach the Premier League about being competitive

The premier league has no interest in being competitive. It's contolled by teams who cannot really take the financial risk of allowing a level playing field. It's why the EPL ceased to be interesting to me about 15 years ago, and why the clubs who dominate the game will ultimately kill it.
Money is the root cause, of course. FFP is not stringent enough and has not gone far enough. Proper salary capping should be brought in, and it should start at the salary cost of the team with the lowest wage bill. That way, we find out which coaches can coach; which youth development programmes work; which scouts really can spot a player. It would reward good football clubs, not wealthy owners.
