Many years ago,when I was reffing a Sunday league junior match, I managed to mislay the coin. Picked up a piece of grass, hid it behind my back, swapped it round a bit....home team captain "which hand?". Did the job. Rock, paper, scissors seems a bit odd but harmless. Easier to borrow a coin or do the grass thing.

Rather harmless, if that's the biggest mistake he makes on a match day then I'd happily have the coin forgetting draconian muppet ref us every match.
