Feck knows why some people want to stay in the EU with their recidulous tax raising powers, it's not even for socialist purposes, it's just a money grab to screw the working classes.

We’ve had riots in this country previously so I wouldn’t get too snooty casting a scornful look over the channel.

Ridiculous assertion to suggest that France’s internal disagreements can be linked to a general ‘look at the EU and how bad it is’ arguement.

French government's folded on the fuel tax rise. Will the protesters be appeased or was that proposed tax just the catalyst for their discontent?

Outside of Europe - which countries do you most admire for their treatment of the working class?

They are the best (health safety ) conscious protesters I've seen , setting fires ,throwing missiles , endangering people all very acceptable, within the confines of a safety high visibility vest .

No, not all about that. Riots are always handy for a spot of looting.

Some nasty vids featuring police brutality in France last Saturday can be found. One where they tipped a disabled bloke out of his wheelchair, another of dragging a woman by her hair along the street. Manny Macron promised more concessions earlier but he looked like someone whose time is up.

If Fascism is characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy, then it was seen at first hand in Paris over this and previous weekends. That's wiki description not mine!!.

That he is, but I have seen many of the Vids that OM has mentioned, and in these vids Fascism was represented by the thug EU army.
