Sorry, but the club's attitude towards the early rounds of cup competitions these days means that the sense of anticipation I used to have on Third Round draw day has all but disappeared.

Exactly this. If we're drawn at home I will be dragged along by my son (as I have done with all the sub 5k attendances over recent seasons), but I'll expect nothing more than a disjointed performance by a makeshift defence and an embarrassing defeat.

    Yes.
Been debated many a time in here over the last couple of years especially.
Sadly the once world's greatest club cup competition takes a back seat nowadays.

Great for the lower end clubs and fans who like to travel away.
58 Oxford away would do me.

Yep! Although a draw to Bristol City or the Jacks would demand 1st team selection I believe.

Just chatting rubbish at the moment to ex players who reiterate how important the cup is when it isn’t really anymore.

Agree except is important to the BBC as it is one of the few times they get to show football games live these days.

"It was a disappointing afternoon for Neil Warnock's men as they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at League 1 strugglers Gillingham

The Bluebirds, backed by a large travelling contingent, started brightly but couldn't capitalise on their dominance with a midfield three of Loic Damour, Jazz Ricchards and academy player Mark Harris failing to clink up with the disappointing Kenneth Zohore

Gillingham struck in the 74th minute through midfielder Max Ehmer following a mix up in the makeshift City backline

This caused a raft of changes, with Joe Ralls, Junior Hoilett and Danny Ward bought on to rectify the damage, however it was too little, too late for the Bluebirds"

Drab 0-0 draw but then we get a perceived reward by getting Man City away for the next round, replay dependant.
We then throw the replay because f’ck that.

I think out of every team possible in that draw, with all the pros and cons of each one, that is without a doubt, the worst of the lot.

Bloody hell that was quickly played, only just learnt of the draw .

People will bang on now about the clubs lack of respect for the competion.
