Get well soon Joe. So many fantastic memories of him playing for us, but my favourite was at Fratton Park the year after the clock incident, when he ran straight over to us City fans before kick off in the Milton End screaming "What's the time?"

We were in the same class throughout our years at St Patrick’s infants school. We used to use a tennis ball to play football at playtime. It was obvious then that he knew how to play football. Like many I followed his career from beginning to end. Not the greatest player but one of our greatest. Hopefully he will make a recovery.

Phil is a lot better, not so confused and can now recognise those around him.

Still in hospital though and no sign of going home yet.
