It has been a painful experience.

It is tiresome watching your team chase shadows, give the little possession they get away with such regularity, be closed down so quickly by 1-3 opponents, lose so many 50-50's, aimlessly lump it towards Paterson, waste set pieces, look terrified when opponents midfielders run towards their area, lose so many first balls from corners sent in to their area etc etc

Last night for 50 minutes, City were in the game notwithstanding missing a spot kick. Then 3 goals that most PL teams would have easily avoided and cut out at its initial source take the game away.

As you allude to in your piece, who knows what would have happened had we gone 1 up? But even at 0-0 City were looking good in the last 20 minutes of first half and first few minutes of second; Camarassa did what we rarely do, a midfielder in the box for a cut back which was well blocked. Then in a blink of an eye its all over due to a Keystone Cops moment from Bennett & Morrison.

It is feasible, if not likely that City will not get an away win this season. They seem incapable of staunching offensive play at pace either down the flank or through the middle - Watford and palace will relish the opportunity to attack our colander of a defensive midfield. Plus City have no ability on the break.

It means as an analyst said last night which was patently obvious, that there is too much pressure on City at home.
Good post.

Rabbits in the headlights most of us last night and little faith in themselves and each other.

Need someone new in January even if just to freshen things up but hopefully provide some inspiration.
