I'd argue that several players were bought to ensure we can have continued success and therefore not being in the team right now is not an issue. They should be judged over their record within 18 months to 2 years rather than 6 months. Not typical for new signings I'm aware.
However, as you mentioned Tomlin, surely there is no point buying a number 10 for big money if you can't find somewhere to play them? Bobby Reid could have hurt Man United and could have given Patterson a rest. The two fees paid to Bristol could have got us a RB, a defensive midfielder, a young CB to develop. I think Reid has a big role to play but don't yet understand these two transfers.
For my money, we have to play Zohore. We’re going to need a striker and if he gets back to his best, he’s the best we’ll ever get but we’ve got about 3 games to find out if we can save £20m!
One of that midfield two needs to be dropped, they've been terrible the last two games.

Who comes in? Ralls or maybe drop Camarasa deeper?
Personally would bring in Ralls for Gunnar. Ralls had been in poor form since his red at Spurs, and has been punished suitably, however now the two in the middle have been very poor, particularly in distribution, and unfortunately he is our only viable option to give one a rest (I say unfortunately I like Ralls) unless Neil goes full Neil and throws Damour in for the banter.
