Thread: Salah Dive

    Salah Dive

His penalty for Scousers yesterday. I'm not saying it wasn't a soft pen for the slight arm tug, but the way he collapsed afterwards was in my opinion cheating the ref. The league panel decide it wasn't enough of an action to cheat the officials.
The league panel are actually encouraging this pathetic falling over with minimal contact. What do you guys think.......Plastic Scousers need not reply 😂

Cheat. It wouldn’t have been a free kick anywhere on the pitch and the ref wouldn’t have given a pen had he not dived.

If that was a foul then there will be free kicks every 10 seconds and a penalty every time the ball goes into the box.

The FA clearly don’t want to stop it happening

What's the point of the panel if they're not going to take action? Cheating in football needs to stop.

Totally agree with you. Same with shirt pulling from free kicks and corners, they seem to want to allow it

    Re: Salah Dive

The panel seem to allow the top players more slack.
Most other clubs the player would be banned.

    ‘Shirt pulling’ ?
At corners they allow hugging, grabbing, pushing, shoving - anything.

Contrast Salah today to Paterson when he scored against Southampton.

Salah had much more contact from Bamba when he dived at Anfield and that wasn’t given.

    Today’s was a joke

I hadn’t seen it before reading this thread, how the feck can anyone say he didn’t dive is beyond belief

    Re: Salah Dive

It's sad that \\\2players of quality" fell the need to dive/cheat.

The review panel MUST stop this sort of thing.
(like they would if it was a Cardiff player caught on camera. )

Was just think about this yesterday. Saw some old clips from the 90's and all the players were wearing baggy tops with baggy sleeves, was shirt pulling as prevalent then? Because there was a lot to grab hold of and it seems like it would have been much easier to spot.

    Re: Salah Dive

Another dive today? Not every contact in the box has to be a penalty, surely?

Pundits, more experienced refs, managers and captains need to be more honest. Clubs are losing games because of minimal contact in the box and some contact is not worth a penalty.

Was a joke again today there should be 30 penalties a game if that is a pen

    This.
Always seem to be awarded to the top boys as i've said before and seeing as the majority of pundits are ex-scousers, referees know that they will not be berated or black-balled by awarding them. Stinks!
