Thread: Spurs looking to offload Llorente, Janssen and Wanyama....

Spurs looking to offload Llorente, Janssen and Wanyama....

...according to the Mirror. Apparently they need to get rid of a few before recruiting...the new stadium is sucking up their cash.

Wanyama and one of the strikers would be job done for us

Just reading that Wanyama is valued at 22.5m???? (Unsure if true)

Has he done much recently or since joining Spurs to warrant a hike in value since the 13m paid in 2016?

I'd like him here but for £12m not £22m.

If we can’t get Clyne on loan, then Lorente could be a decent option as he would fit the bill as someone who could play as a sole striker and would chip in with a few goals.

Wanyama would be amazing I can’t see it though

The transfer market has gone absolutely crazy in those seasons.

I'd rather we spent big on him than sign Efe bloody Ambrose. He'd improve our side no end. He'd join Etheridge and Camarasa as a genuine PL performers. We've spent £24m this summer, and the two players to make a real impact are our loanees. I'm not suggesting we spend £22m but say £10m and £5m if we stay up is something I'd be well in favour of.

Wanyama would be fantastic. Not going to happen though

Only issue with Lorente is that he’s not the most mobile.

The Jacks used to moan like hell about that side of his game.

    He’s not getting younger either.

He’s probably most effective off the bench now, can we afford that luxury?

If he’s not closing defenders down will that affect our game plan ?

In a perfect world I’d go for him, but if we can only have 1 big loan then I’d maybe favour Wanyama and then look elsewhere for a striker.

With Madine seemingly leaving the club must surely be confident someone else is coming in.

    I agree with that ^^^

Although....I'd be amazed if we sign anyone from Spurs, even on loan. Firstly wages are bound to be a problem, and secondly, surely they'd get better offers elsewhere in the Premier League than us?

I was thinking that, but Madine is such a carthorse you could play anyone and they'd be as useful.

£600 million plus now, just for the stadium. Think their debt is close to 3/4 billion. Probably close to £40 million a year just to service the debt..

Didn’t we almost sign him before from Celtic but he went to saints instead? Wasn’t there some insane reason of Chinese mythology about it?

I think he probably just fancied a more established club with more quality in the squad.

I seem to remember the selling club hiked the price at the last moment, so we pulled out. Should have gone the extra mile
