Thread: Nathaniel Clyne

    Nathaniel Clyne

The Sun is reporting that he's going to Bournemouth on loan.

    Re: Nathaniel Clyne

That’s a massive blow if true.
He was just what we needed.

I reckon he’d have slotted in at wing back as well if we changed to 3 centre backs.

Was one real class player that I could realistically see us getting.

    Re: Nathaniel Clyne

They said we'd signed him a few days ago, so I wouldn't take too much notice. Still, I can't say I'd blame him if he did.

    Re: Nathaniel Clyne

It is true. Sky sports has confirmed it.

    Re: Nathaniel Clyne

Sky sports saying that he has signed for Bournemouth. Big blow that, as he would have made a hell of a difference.

Will be interesting to see what the plan B is now.

Not a great start to the window for us.

If the sunmer window was anything to go by it might a be a while before they come up with plan B

Apart from Madine to Sheffield Utd of course......

    Re: Nathaniel Clyne

It's going to happen, so we might as well accept it.

Looks like they are also going to sign Solanke for £19m. Trying to get their business done early.

It's almost they they have a cohesive plan or something. Weirdos.

This is our problem. 1 goal in 21 PL games now equates to £19m. We simply can't compete.

Everyone knows that you pay a massive premium for young English players with potential.

We would never have been in the market to sign him permanently.

No but Bournemouth have really shot out the traps on this one. Remarkable.

Still, it's a hell of a lot of money.

Maybe they agreed to the Solanke fee on the proviso they also got Clyne on loan?

I'd say that this is exactly what they've done. Howe has spread his investment and doubled his chances of success (surviving). Good piece of business.

    Re: Nathaniel Clyne

Disappointing but sounds like we're looking at a number of players for each position. A right-footed Joe Bennett and we've improved our side.

I don’t see the pull. Mid table mediocrity, or an exciting relegation battle. He’s playing it safe....
