    If Paterson was one of the walking wounded yesterday...

    ...as Warnock said - and he was wearing the white thigh support which he was also wearing against Spurs - why did he play against Gillingham?

    Beggars belief, at the time I questioned what the point was of playing pato upfront against Gillingham, there's no way Griffiths would do any worse than the current lot either

    And why didn’t he replace him with wirh Murphy or Reid? Patterson was clearly struggling physically yesterday and had one of those games where he couldn’t even do the basics right.

    It seems Warnock doesn’t trust Murphy in a wide position to track back, which is fair enough. Butt he couldn’t have done much worse playing up top yesterday, particularly as the game opened up a bit more in the 2nd half and as he’s got the pace to get in behind a defence.

    He looked lightweight when he played in the middle a few weeks back, but we could have put Reid or Harris up top. Patterson was winning headers but it was a waste of time as no one was near him
