Sala " Cardiff transfer still on despite previous claims, ‘negotiation games’ still going on"

Interesting read on Sport Witness regarding Sala and the Nantes Manager.

    http://sportwitness.co.uk/cardiff-tr...s-still-going/

First thing on Thursday, we covered what L’Equipe were saying about Cardiff and Emiliano Sala, and it wasn’t pretty for Nantes fans.

According to the French newspaper, the Ligue 1 side’s coach, Vahid Halilhodzic, was said to be furious about the Argentine’s recent trip to Wales to discuss a transfer since it was kept from him.

The player was subsequently placed on the bench for Wednesday evening’s game against Nimes, which Nantes went onto lose 1-0, which didn’t help the manager’s mood.

20 Minutes also have an update on the situation, first corroborating L’Equipe’s claims about Halilhodzic’s wrath (he found out about Sala’s trip via social media), before moving onto what’s actually going on regarding the transfer.

Confirming Ouest-France’s claims of a reduced offer (€15m) arriving on Nantes’ desk on Wednesday from Cardiff despite a previous argument, the newspaper, even despite a source telling them it was ‘over’, believe a transfer is still on.

They explain the deal ‘isn’t closed’, but that it could simply take more time to reach an agreement, with ‘negotiation games’ ongoing.

Sorry Cardiff fans, but there’s still plenty left in this one.

I suppose you can understand their manager being a bit pissed off if he didn't know a deal s being done.

Too right, I find the whole thing frustrating but want to see if we get him how he will perform for Warnock. I think this is a step up in Quality versus anything we have had before ?

I should hope it would be a step up in quality, and not Warnock clutching at straws, the price we are paying for him. Let's hope we sign Niasse as well, the more strikers we have the better. Goals win games!

Agree with you mate, Wanocks summer transfers have not been great overall, we should have got the quality in then. The fees being asked are crazy but thats the market I guess. To see Murphy, Reid etc. costing 10 million each and sat on the bench is crazy, if they are not able to fit in to Warnocks way why did he sign them ?

Maybe they were not his signings?

Stop moaning. When you sign a player, you dont guarantee them a place in the team do you ? It depends how they perform in training and during games that counts. If they are not good enough then you dont play them. Its also a squad game. You make it sound like NW is doing it deliberately. Do you think they are telling Sala that he will play every game if he comes here, no matter how he performs. !

When he costs £18m and you've been playing a right back up front you do

Surely if he signs a player for big money who doesn’t perform in training that’s still his fault for signing the player though?

Club have done well here, knocked it down from £20m to £15m. He's going to miss tomorrow but we've got Niasse and Paterson to cope. This may be hard for some people to accept but there seem to be some semi-competent people at CCFC.

Are you suggesting there are some semi incompetent people at the club ?

Well, clearly. But half the people on here seems to think we've got a bunch of neanderthals doing the leg work.

Taking a while this one eh ?

In the meantime while we wait, have a read of the Nantes manager crying to anyone who will listen or slightly interested in this saga.
