Brynmawr is blue too, but there is a Jack up here. I see him walking his dogs and I always give him a toot on the horn followed by an Ayatollah. He takes it in good spirit fair play to him.

I'm sucked off with hearing endless hype about a few snowflakes, and I don't mean those gutless wonders who are terrified of offending anyone. Beast from the East, snow bombs, etc, it's as if the weather's being turned into a form of fear-mongering entertainment.

When I were a lad, said in a know-it-all Warnock-esque Yorkshire accent, it wasn't uncommon to regularly have huge snowfalls, sometimes in July and August too. But did we complain?

Yes, we moaned endlessly about the b'stard white stuff!

    Pah!
When I was a lad, in the 1963 winterwe lived in Garnlydan (Bit further up than Ebbw Vale)
We had a snow drift up the side of the house, touching the roof!
It stayed for ages, and when it froze, we tunneled through it.
I had to dig trenches in the snow by our fence to stop the mountain ponies walking into the garden!

It's a BLIZZARD in Cwmbran now! Well, we had a light dusting 2 hours ago. Just made the tricky journey to the supermarket and bought 10 six-pinters of milk.
