Terry nor Brian were ever professional base ballers. The O.P. stated from schoolboy level to professional level.

Just in. No correct answers. It’s unbelievable to think one footballer could play in 40 cup finals, and not lose one, but it’s true. It’s not a trick question. When we arrive at the answer you can check the facts for yourselves.

As has been said plenty of times before, "Legend" is a very over used word when it comes to football. If its been used with its real meaning in the question, then there can't really be too many players who are seen as a true legend at three different teams. I'm guessing that if he played in Britain then one of the clubs could be Celtic or Rangers, but there's always the possibility that, say, thirty nine of the Cup Finals were played in junior football.

All of which brings me no closer to even coming up with a feasible suggestion as to who it could be .

Could be Rocky, his son. I bet Roy managed the school team or something.

I know what you mean about the term “legend”, but this guy was truly a legend at 3 clubs. You will easily know this guy Bob. If nobody’s got it by the end of the weekend, I shall reveal all.

A legend at 3 clubs - that’s hard to do.

I was going to say Toshack - but that was only two.

If he’s older than that I don’t know
