Emiliano Sala: Who owned the plane ?

An interesting article on this morning's BBC website.

The 'news' article is just a rehash of all the information that has been published before since the accident, presumably to make it look like BBC news is leading the way. There is nothing new in there.

Cheers. I don't get a daily newspaper and only occasionally read the BBC website for news. Hence several revelations were new to me

As the BBC often do these days.

Ive been following Channel 4 news for the last few months and prefer it.

I'm a big fan of Jon Snow. He's a cracking journalist and is also very good in Game of Thrones.

no they aint. They are only disagreeing with his insistence that he cannot be wrong and his demand that people "Stay on topic" in a thread, which normally means people are disagreeing which he sees are trying to derail a (his) thread.

I mean to leave him alone but its just too easy.

The UK CAA & AAIB are already aware of the name of the beneficial owner of N264DB PA46 Malibu

Documents from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the US reveal the aircraft was registered in the name of the "trustee" firm - Southern Aircraft Consultancy (SAC), based in Bungay, Suffolk.

Whilst this serves as an administrative "screen" to obscure the identity of the true beneficial owner or owners of an aircraft, it would seem the people with ultimate control and use of it are closely connected to the Football Agent family.

On the Southern Aircraft Consultancy (SAC) website, they claim: "We specialise in providing individual trust agreements to non-US citizens to enable them to legally register their aircraft on the American 'N' register."

SAC are not legally obliged to divulge who the owners were due to data protection laws, but have passed this information onto the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB).

The Football agent has previously owned aircraft so he is aware of the regulations and whilst the focus on the pilot from the agent is repeatedly mentioning his CCJ's as a background to his financial predicaments & other irregularities it is a smokescreen to keep the attention away from facts that the agent's company is being wound up by HMRC.

I am pretty sure the McKay's needed the transfer of Sala to go very smoothly as they needed the cash to minimalise the effects of their winding up order lodged against them.

All very sad that 2 people were killed due to the actions of the organisers of the 'flight'
