    When TV show appeared it blew young minds away ,its so hard to describe too youngsters today ,what that meant to us .

    Sad to hear of this. I remember being really shocked when Davy Jones passed away as he had looked really well in tv interviews a few months earlier. Only two Monkees left.

    And Mike Nesmith hasn't played with any of the reformed versions of the Monkees, I don't think Pearcy

    Mr Soul 68-He did play with Dolenz and Tork after Davy Jones passed away but rarely played on reunions when Jones was alive. I used to like their tv show. Such a shame.

    Yes, it is such a shame. Didn't realise he played with Tork & Dolenz after Davy Jones passed away. I too loved the Monkees when I was a kid. The best manufactured band ever!

    Loved the TV series as a kid and they had a few great songs. Always sad to see people you use to reflect on your childhood pass if only to remind you of your mortality. Anyway, thanks for the memories and hopefully a while until I join you on the last train to Clarksville.
