Thread: Wales v England

    Wales v England

I'm in Cardiff/Penarth for a long weekend with my late husband's family. I've had a lovely time but last night's match put a dampener on it.

I'd just like to say that although I'm 100% English, I'll be supporting Wales today, for my husband and his amazing family. They've even bought me a Welsh shirt. Plus, my father, an avid Rugby League fan from Halifax, has always disliked the English Rugby Union team. I can't decide whether to watch it with the family in the local in Penarth or soak up the atmosphere in Cardiff.

Hope you've burned your lucky pants.

Nice one Wiggy. Your late husband's parents sound really nice. Just imagine if England wins. They will be wanting to leave the 6 nations again to play in tri nations.

Haha. They weren't very lucky in the end. I won't wear them to matches again.

The last time England had a decent rugby team in the early 2000's they were threatening to leave the six nations tournament to play instead against South Africa, New Zealand and Australia because they would in their view offer better opposition.

My wife is English and will also be supporting Wales today. She was very close to my dad who was a huge Welsh rugby fan and loved watching games with him.

When was the last time your lot conceded a goal in the Premier League?

That's lovely. I feel like an honorary Welshwoman. I hope your wife enjoys the game. I'm really looking forward to it.

That’s 3 losses on the bounce since he piped up giving it Charlie big spuds last week.

Why aren't you in Norwich. Two defeats in one day. Do you walk into closed doors as well.

City lost I am gutted. Wales win, I'm not an egg chasing fan but I just can't stand Eddie Jones so I feel a hell of a lot better.
