Following on from the people you hate in football thread, it got me thinking about sportsmen I used to detest.

I think Stephen Hendry would have been the first sportsman that I used to love getting beaten. I think that coincides with any player/team getting regular, unparalleled success and having the arrogance that goes with it. Seeing Jimmy White lose all those finals to him probably has something to do with it as well. I recall Hendry saying recently that he used to like trampling all over a player if they weren't having a good day - he wanted to cause as much mental scarring as he could as collateral for the next time they played. Since his retirement, I've really enjoyed listening to him as a commentator and have warmed to him as an individual.

Sir Alex Ferguson would be another. The absolute master of mind games, I used to detest him.

Warnock would definitely be another. I could go on (as I usually do!)
