Manchester City under investigation for alledged financial fair play violations

I don't understand why they still feel the need to (alledgedly) cheat, when they already have all the best players and manager.

Just to clarify for anyone who hasn't read about it, they are being investigated for historical financial irregularities (2014 & 2015). Whether they are "still" allegedly cheating; there hasn't been anything mentioned about it.
