Any country that believes the way forward is Alex McLeish deserves to be embarrassed

I would rather England qualified than Scotland, they remind me of the international version of Liverpool, so entitled.

I'd rather England qualify too. It's a summer tradition to sit down with a drink of your choice and revel in their misery as they cock it up again - and then the bonus of Lineker post match..

I'd rather Scotland personally, but they need to have a rethink about where they're going

A turgid 1-0 win over T&T by our second XI doesn't seem too bad after all.

And they left McTominay (spelling ?) on the bench.

Good question. Last September I visited Moldova (including Transnistria), Ukraine and Belarus - which meant that I have visited every 'European country'. However, I haven't visited 'every country in Europe' as Kazakhstan's western sliver extends westwards over the Urals, which means that most cartographers consider that part to be in Europe. Needlesss to say, I'm working on it.....

A couple of years ago I was working in Almaty for some oil companies and I was shown a map in/on which Kazakhstan as a country did not exist and all of the land (and mineral deposits therein ) were in fact Chinese and had always been part of China

    According to the Chinese representatives

    According to the Chinese representatives
    Take
    1) Those representatives' lunatic views; and
    2) UEFA's definition of Europe.

Conclusion: China is in Europe. Well done everyone!

I don't think it's a geographical thing. I think it stems from the days of them being part of the USSR, and following the breakup all the constituent countries stayed with UEFA.

Indeed. Forgive me for going off at a tangent
Some of the 'Stans' are not in UEFA I believe.

Of course they did. Surely you know that their best players play in the SPL (Sunday pub league)

No wonder Jimmy the Jock has become an adopted Welshman. The guy has sense!

    Re: Kazakhstan vs Scotland

Just switched on the radio and the first thing I heard was the BBC's Scottish football correspondent Roddy Forsyth in mid rant against the players who had decided to end their international career like Snodgrass, McArthur and Ritchie and those who ruled themselves out because of the plastic pitch like Fraser and Callum Paterson.

Darren Fletcher isn't happy with the last two either;-

    https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/spo...n-ryan-fraser/

I can't say for certain how I'd feel if Paterson played for someone else, but he has had two long term absences from the game due to ligament injuries and so I can understand City being concerned about him playing on an artificial pitch.

I don’t want Scotland to do poorly for Patos sake, but I do get the past hyperbole around them and why people dislike them.

That team could quite easily have been us if it wasn’t for bale and Rambo.
