If we stay up this year then there will definitely be a film made.

The club still wouldn't get the credit it deserves

    Morrison & Manga next?

How ironic that he gets injured playing on the grass pitch after missing the previous game on the plastic pitch for fear of injury.

Could be a blessing in disguise.

How do you work that one out. We need a squad for the run in Bamba at out now Paterson it's not good news

Having players drop out isn't a blessing in disguise at all.

It means our season is almost definitely going tits up. I can't see Gunnarsson being fully committed now either, at the risk of him breaking a leg etc.

    REALLY?

The bloke leaves everything on the pitch - who's going to score the goals? Niasse and Zohore are hardly prolific. The way we play Paterson is one of the players we need most..

If he's not playing and we need a goal who do you want going on Paterson or Danny ward/Kadeem Effin Harris

We've got Burnley coming up and its going to be a war - Paterson is going to be a huge loss

I also think it could be a blessing in disguise. He's clearly one of NW's favourites, plays out of position and almost never gets subbed. He's been ineffective for the last couple of months and hopefully it's going to force NW to play Reid and Murphy together.

We are more than capable of beating Burnley without Paterson.

I don't doubt his commitment or that he will be missed but it forces Warnock's hand. He'll have to play our more creative, technical and faster players which might be just what we need.

Paterson will be a big miss, even if he isn't starting games if we're desperate to score in the last 5/10 minutes of a game then I would want Paterson in the box when we're lumping the ball in there. We will also miss his incredible work rate too

We haven't had too many injuries this season. I recall that last season we had 10 1st team players out at one time.

The Morrison/Manga pairing has worked well, so I suppose that Paterson being out is our first real injury 'problem' this season..

    Connolly dislocated ankle

I can see what the posters mean about blessing in disguise.
The problem is that our options have been cut bang at the wrong time.
We have to play many games of football in a relatively short space of time and it could mean that some have to play with knocks.

One can argue that we played better without Sol in defence, meaning that Morrison had to step up to the plate, but I don't remember many saying that was a blessing in disguise.

All that said, I'm still hopeful of a good outcome

It will force a tactical change , and stop us defaulting to the same old tatics ,which can inhibit our more creative players.

I wouldn’t ever question Gunnars commitment

Massive blow, Patterson does so much good work for us also a massive bonus how versatile and fit he is. As good as any other player in the air as well and has been one of our best performers.

Bamba and Patterson are 2 massive characters who would have been relishing the final run in.

Agreed their both massive characters. The others will have to step up.

    THIS

Its definitely a big loss. But Neil might be forced to play a more footballing side.
