On a business point of view, if we stayed up 30mill for Bale for 1 season, is good business, global interest, increased sponsorship and shirt sales would probably cover a a fair amount. And if he made a the difference allowing us 2 stay in the league it is paid for 5 times over anyway.

From a realistic perspective, he would hate playing in our squad and will want to win something so probably a top 4 club, Spurs would be good for him.
