Thread: Away kit question.

  1. #1

    Away kit question.

Chelsea get to play in Normal blue kit at Old Trafford today.

Why when we go there won’t we get the same privilege. Or will we?
    Interested to know.

Who decides? I thought we tell the ref what kit we want to play in and he OKs it if there is no clash with the home team

The away team can wear what ever kit they want providing its not too similar to the home team's kit.

On a related note, I've noticed over the past few years that teams are often mix and match their kit from one game to the next for example, when wearing our horrendous alternate green kit this year, sometimes they've worn it with blue shorts and white socks, or with white shorts etc.

Aswell as shirts not clashing I don't think that shorts can clash either these days- hence the mix and match. That's why, particularly with Man Utd and Spurs kits, they look odd when they play a team who wear dark shorts, as their home shirts look odd with white shorts.
