    Aaron Ramsey

Tearful goodbye to Arsenal today. Hope he absolutely smashes it at Juve

Why would he mention Cardiff when he's leaving Arsenal after 11 years?

Not having a sell on clause worked out to be an act of genius by Ridsdale.

Don't really think we were in a strong negotiating position at the time. Think we would have ended up with a fair bit less than £4.8m if such a clause was included.

What difference would it have made ? There is no fee anyway - its a free transfer at the end of his contract.

I think that's his point. It's been said a lot that had we insisted on a clause then the fee would have been lower to compensate.

    Re: Aaron Ramsey

Ramsey was too loyal to Arsenal. Drawing 1-1 at home to a team like Brighton when they, somehow, were in with a chance of a top four finish for his final home league match at Arsenal sums them up completely - they've held Ramsey back for the last seven or eight years of his time there.

Only thing I take from his time there is how fast does 11 years go.

Done well to get the juve contract, it's been a difficult few years for arsenal, very few of their players look to be at that sort of top 4 level these days.

Got my pic taken with him the day after the FA cup final, 2 days before he signed for Arsenal.
As someone said above, where has 11yrs gone!!!
Agree with Bob that Arsenal have held him back.
The gunners fans never really seemed to have taken to him. Hope he does well in Italy, and hope Arsenal get dumped by Valencia this week.

100%. I can remember Ramsey playing for us as a 17 year old like it was yesterday. He will hopefully become an even better player in the next few years at Juve.

    Re: Aaron Ramsey

Genuinely looking forward to seeing him play for Juve next season. Seeing a former youth player of ours joining forces with the likes of Ronaldo, Dybala etc is a good feeling.
