My sort of mind reads more into Smithies missing the closing months of the season than there almost certainly is. Truth is that if we were in the market for a keeper after selling Etheridge, it would be probably be for someone to cover for Smithies.

The Smithies story, it was made up by someone on Twitter.

That's not to say he won't go at some point during this window; but I'd be shocked if we loaned him out. We've certainly not agreed to let him go to Birmingham anyway.

Yep & he's not impressed their fans (well the one's I work with), most of them thought it was a loan as well & are disappointed that he's theirs!
