Why is it necessarily a homophobic attack though? They have hit two women who were defending themselves, I'd suggest they probably would have had a go at almost any vulnerable person given the right situation to kick it off.
Personally I find that more worrying than it being cause they just didn't like gay people.
I suppose though if the homophobic element gets them a bigger sentence then I'm all for it.
Agree it isn’t just a homophonic attack but it did start because they saw the women were a couple and were asking them to kiss.
I just can’t imagine doing that to anyone, but to attack a woman like that is sickening.

Terrible and not uncommon unfortunately.
The complete lack of police presence hasn't helped and just because cameras are present doesn't seem to deter these cowards.
It's as though they know there will not be any follow up.
