Clearly we are behind the curve on this. To me it would make sense to try to poach someone who has been working with one of the clubs who have been working really well in this area then at least they know what things to put in place to be successful. Clearly we would need to target someone more junior so the role was a step up, or from a smaller club.
The director of football or sporting director as it now seems to be all encompassing with a number of roles, the biggest being setting out a lasting and permanent vision for the club's playing identity.

I have watched some superb interviews with Stuart Webber of Norwich lately and he seems to be excelling both at Norwich and Huddersfield in this area in recent years.

A clear vision that is sustainable, that involves building a culture that is aligned throughout the club and at Norwich in particular has involved promoting youth players like Max Aaron's.
