Villa told to go away by Chelsea

Apparently (allegedly) they've enquired about 2 Chelsea players, one a transfer (Abraham?) and the other a loan (Ampadu?) and they've been told that Chelsea will not be making any decisions for "several months".

Makes sense given their managerial issues and transfer embargoes.

I also understand that West Brom have ratcheted up the price for Rondon (in excess of £20M) if Newcastle want to sign him. Bilic joins on July 1st but has already given his shopping list to the WBA board. I think they'll be the team to beat this season.

I'd be surprise if Chelsea willingly let anyone go.

The summer window closes at 5pm on 8 August for the Premier League and Championship.

If they're not making any decisions for several months they can only move players on (loan or sale) to other leagues (including EFL L1 and L2).

I doubt many will leave this summer, but if they are going out decisions need to be made within the next 6 weeks.

Jesus. I hope Ampadu goes. He needs to start playing regularly.

I can't see any decisions being made before a new manager arrives, and has a good look at his new players on the training ground, and in a few friendly games.

Too right, but he's good enough for the first team, so it will be down to what the new manager thinks. Personally, I would like to see him spend a season with a team like Bournmouth, as opposed to dropping down a division.

He isn't. Not yet at least. Kante will almost certainly go back to playing DM, and let's face it, he's not going to get a look in if so.

Not you again! Leave me alone! Go away! Get lost!

Ok, let me rephase it. If Kante breaks a leg, then he is good enough for the first team! Chelsea have many squad players who are good enough for the first team, and Ampadu is one of them, so everything is up to the new manager and what his plans are. For example, I expect to see a lot more of CHO next season.

Hmm, Cho, is that the new Chinese international they’ve signed?
