A presenter on 5Live yesterday described her time at Derby as “extraordinary”, which is ridiculous. No more extraordinary than Steve McLaren.

Lampard set to integrate the Chelsea Academy and First Team squads, sharing facilities and having flexible training schedules.

That's just taking the Chelsea women's game to ridiculous extremes.

    Re: Lampard

Don't get why they have done it, failed at derby and let's not forget was given 2 of the better loan players from the pl to use.

He could do ok but certainly doesn't deserve the job

I think it's madness. I know Rafa isn't popular down there, but he's exactly what they need right now. Lampard has no experience on the European transfer market and hardly revolutionized football at Derby last year. Next summer is going to be huge for them. If they don't finish in the top 4 this season, it's going to be even more difficult to recruit top players. This could set Chelsea back 5 years or more.

They aren't going to recruit any anyway if their transfer embargo stands. After 2 years of that it will probably take them about 5 years to get back up.
Look what happened to Liverpool and their recruitment after their ban following Heisel.

    Re: Lampard

Has Lampard officially taken the Chelsea job yet?

Is it a done deal or just what everyone expects?

Phillip Cocu lined up to replace him at Derby according to this:

They've already got loads of talent in their Academy, but they've never used it. This could be a great move by Chelsea. Just to give some perspective, Sarri never watched a single Academy or U23 game last season.

    I think they're nuts.
Slated Sarri for finishing 3rd and winning the Europa League, same people are now saying it would be a fantastic achievement if lampard could sneak into the top 4.

Have to feel for Gary Rowett

Achieved exactly the same position with Derby as him but quit for the sh1thole of Stoke whilst Lampard gets Chelsea

Good work by derby to have someone lined up so quickly, they must have been tapping up Wales bales for his top secret inside information

Yeah, I gave them Phil's number. I'm glad to see it all worked out well

I wonder if they feel like they've got a better manager out of it too

Think the lad has a talent and could do a job at a decent club if given a chance

He was given a decent club in Stoke. He failed.
