Typical cap doffer nonsense, Wales should have its own independent cricket team.
Can we please not turn this thread into that? Just for today.

Cricket in England usually dictates that if you are playing at 10:30 with some rain about you bowl. However the majority of teams that have bowled first in this world cup have lost.

When Australia won that toss the captain simply couldn't bowl, because fans would cry, that is not what you do in thsi world cup. However bowling was the correct decision. This pitch is drier and flatter than it was this morning.

Finally the opening partnership are showing some balls (pardon the pun) with a chase ahead of them, albeit not a massive one

    Relentless stuff.
Root carrying on from where Bairstow left off and have Morgan, Stokes and Buttler to come.

Fair play to England, since the moment they had to win both games to qualify for the semis against the two top teams, they have played with such confidence.

Shocking decision by the umpire there

Bairstow wasting the review could be costly. That decision was terrible though

He was more than likely fancying his chances of a big score and a runaway win, especially after that Smith over.

He asks Roy if he thought it was worth a review, Roy replies it's up to you and he goes for it.

    Doubt it'll cost 'em mind.

Fair play to Sky, it's been agreed that the Final can be shown live on Channel 4.
