And there lies the rub, consistency, and managing the times when not all is going well for one or you have to be subbed ,yes he is looking very sharp by all accounts its not just the weight loss .

Tomlin seems to have impressed tonight in City's 3-2 win.

Yes it seems the chatter is true .

The report is very favourable although against lower opposition, suppose at this stage it's about attitude though, and he could have sulked away after his USA travel ban .

Madine and Smithies, looking good as well.

Nice too see the ever smiling Bamba turn up , I like this lad a lot ,he seems a good sort .

What stood out to me was where they mentioned his willingness to help the young lads out with instructions and advice, shows he cares, regardless of who his teammates are.

I hope this is the season of Lee Tomlin.

Lee Tomlin at his best would be a real bonus for us, but, as a club where virtually everyone was talking about the need for a new striker, we've sold one of them in the last few days and are in the process of selling the one who was regarded as our number one choice in the position. This time last year we decided to make do with what we had in the striker department and we got relegated - believing that a combination of Madine, Tomlin, Ward and Bogle will be good enough to get us promoted (that has to be the aim for 19/20) will be a big gamble which will, almost certainly, fail in my opinion.

I honestly think we'll have one in as soon as Zohore is out.
