Surely the value of the pound go down after leaving the European Union?

A no-deal Brexit is looking increasingly likely. I'd expect the pound to take a serious hit.

1.1034 on TravelFX if you buy more than £700 worth. The market has already factored in Brexit with an exit deal. No deal Brexit is another matter.

Pound buys less cash at tourist rates cf business rate. Significantly less over the counter at places such as Post Office and never buy at an airport.

Sell them, lot of the doomsday predictions already factored in to the pound dropping, it isn't going much lower. On achieving of Brexit the pound recovers well.

One thing we do know, Brexit was a really good idea for the pound.

Looking to buy 5 K worth for our euro trips this summer, not sure i will bother as i have a revoult card and Starling card which are pre loaded and you get the business / interbank rate of exchange, also use Halifax Clarity credit card which has 0 fee's

Of course its nice to have some notes, but everywhere takes cards now

Just looked at the Starling card details. I might go for one at some stage but have no immediate need. If you stick to main tourist areas most places will take cards but in my case I tend to end up in the back of beyond where it's cash only.
