Don’t want that sort of thing happening to any sports person but I’m finding it hard to have any sympathy for him.

What's that lovely little ditty they had for Rambo? "He walks with a limp"?

Looking forward to adapting the Stoke fans song about Aaron Ramsey when they come to visit.

    He walks with a limp
    He walks with a limp
Ryan Shawcross, he walks with a limp

    Re: Ryan Shawcross

weird thread, cheering on some random bloke breaking his leg.

The Stoke fans were reprehensible for the way they acted after Ramsey's break, not sure why Shawcross is being laughed at for a non malicious tackle which he clearly regretted after it happened.

Unless my memory serves me wrong wasn't it Shawcross who broke Ramsay's leg? And afterwards showed no regret for doing it.

I don't think your second sentence/question is accurate. My memory is that Arsenal fans/club were aggrieved because Stoke had a game plan of going in hard at Arsenal, which lead to the unfortunate incident, and Stoke fans aggrieved because their captain was unfairly demonised for a bad tackle and what remorse he showed afterwards wasn't welcomed.

Two things to note: firstly, it's past tense, and secondly I'm sure it's the fans who have these feelings now more than the players. I'm sure Aaron Ramsey would rather us talk about the exciting new season at Juve rather than see his name twitter trending based on an incident that he's not involved in just because of a painful event 9 (nine) years ago. Does he have to waste time releasing a statement supporting Shawcross to stop tasteless songs posted in this thread?

I can still remember the pundits post match defending Shawcross rather than talking about Ramsey, it was a disgusting challenge and yet Stoke fans defend it and continued to boo/abuse Ramsey, dreadful.

There's a great video somewhere on Youtube of Alan Davies ranting about the media/Pulis/Stoke's reaction
