Trip Down Memory Lane - Ninian Park on Google Street View

The area of the map outside of Ninian Park hasn't been updated and still shows Ninian Park in all it's glory. It seems the photos are around 11 years old and show CCS being built over the road.

If you go a little past the Grange End it then skips to photos taken last year with the housing development in place and jumps 10 years or so.

It surprised me it is still featuring on there and put a smile on my chops.

Thanks for that just had a look, really bizarre especially seeing the new ground under construction. Well worth a look.

If you go another 100 yards down Sloper road towards Grangetown you jump forward in time 10 years. Weird.

    Ha ha.

Glad a few of you found this interesting.

Hope they don't realise for another few years. Weird that they updated all of it except that part of road. Google must have a City fan in the ranks.

Is there anything left to commemorate NP where the new houses are built?

The next game board outside states the pre-season friendly against Ajax on August 1st, so summer of 2008.

I remember Dai Hunt telling Jan Klaas Huntelaar he wouldn’t pay 20p for him outside NP as Ajax arrived. This was prior to his £20m move to Real Madrid just days later.

Well one can wonder where is Klaas now , as we all know where Dai is.

Now back at Ajax with a goal record of 23 in 43 games at the tender age of 35.
    Dai was right.

He’s got a few years to catch up on Dai then and Dai’s still performing and firing on all cylinders.
