Our knew striker needs a Bob Marley song

Glatzel, named Robert-Nesta in honour of reggae star Bob Nesta Marley, has signed a three-year contract with the Bluebirds and could make his debut in the Championship match against Wigan Athletic away on Saturday.

I was thinking more along the lines of Glatzel Over by the Dave Clark Five.

    [Tune of Three Little Birds]
    Woke up this mornin’
    Don the blue shirt
    Scorin’ goals. For Cardiff
    Before the Canton
    Headers, Volleys too
    Singing Robert Glatzel’s a blue-oo-oo

Good tune if one could blend some City connection into its chorus.

""Get up, stand up, stand up for your right
Get up, stand up, don't give up the fight
Get up, stand up. Life is your right
So we can't give up the fight
Stand up for your right, Lord, Lord
Get up, stand up. Keep on struggling on
    Don't give up the fight""

His parents obviously liked Bob Marley but he may hate him and the constant reminders.

I'd rather never go to a city game ever again than hear that being sung. Bad enough when the canton starts singing the original.

There's always Grangetown Rock I suppose.

I hate it, it sounds so defeatist, I can't remember which game it was but it felt like it went on for 10-15 minutes

Absolutely, defeatist shite. It makes it even worse when the opposition fans join in to rub salt in the wound as happened at the Man City and Watford games last season.
