"Danny Carey (Tool) talks about King Crimson. Soundcheck was a documentary following particular musicians on their journey into sound, aired by the now defunct television station NPS. It was broadcasted in August of 1997."

"Tool themselves state Crimson as an influence, as indeed do most bands who bear anything resembling ‘progressive’ in their music, and though Crimson can be occasionally far more offbeat than Tool, their similarities can still be seen."

Welcome back Sludgey good to see you posting again.

I haven't heard the new TOOL album nor am I ever likely too. I did however have to listen to the new Slipknot album today. My daughter 'kindly' played it for me. It brought on a feckin' migraine! I had to come home and have a lie down and then blast out some propa music, in this case some great Jamaican reggae from the late 60s early 70s. Tell me, does the lead 'singer' (yes, I do use the term loosely) always sound lie he has a red hot poker rammed up his arse? More importantly, will you be moshing around Sludge Mansions to it, over the coming months, and serenading young ladies with it too?

Tool are a magnificent tour de force mixing Floyd with spiritualised and killer guitar riffs

One day everybody will realise this

Went to see Parkway Drive at the start of the year.
Great if you’re into screamo heavy stuff and they’re very good at it.
