    Texting at Games

A Hull fan was warned yesterday for texting during the game with Reading and he could have been thrown out of the ground.

As Gary Lineker mentions this is nuts.

I thought I'd check our clubs T&Cs but surprise surprise the link on the official website does not work.

"I was just texting a few friends and relatives who can't make it to games these days, just the odd update on how the game was going.

as many do and many others are thankful.....is this copyright gone mad?

I'm at the t20 and was just reading some rules saying that texting people about the game can be seen as giving betting advice
    Crazy

Yet my iPhone pings and tells me every time there's a throw in.
Another ridiculous attempt to enforce a technicality

Its similar to court siding in tennis.
Being able to cash out on a bet before a betting app can update.
Not that this bloke was doing it.

So what? If a gambling company loses because fan is at the game supporting their team then best outcome possible.

I always thought that in game betting at stadia was a surefire win. But the data feed that bookies rely on to update odds is rapid- less than a second delay. And if a punter makes winning bets a second before the bet is won with any frequency I would imagine they'd get limited ok n no time.

Betting gets suspended a lot in play too, corners etc so I’m not really seeing an advantage for someone at the game on their phone
