Why is it barmy? Advertisers know not to use stereotypes in ads so can't be surprised when they get banned. Personally I wouldn't be offended by the examples used but avoiding stereotypes in ads is surely a reasonable rule/law to have in place

Surely what is “barmy” is almost every couple in an ad are mixed race.
This is nowhere near representative of the UK but nevertheless is pushed down our throat
